American Freedom Gold Trout players can be found scattered among the top teams in the state placing three players in the Texas Girls Coaches Association preseason polls.In Class 5A CHELSEY WALL (2012, SS) and Keller are ranked #5In Class 4A COURTNEY COLUNGA (2013, 3B) and Waco Midway are ranked #5In Class 3A TAYLOR NORRIS (2012, 2b) and Celina are the preseason #1 coming off of there 2011 State Championship. Congrats to all of these players and their teams. Check back often for updates on our players throughout their high school seasons.

American Freedom Gold Trout player TAYLOR NORRIS (2012, 2B) played a huge part in leading her Celina HS team to a two game sweep over Lovejoy to advance to the class 3A State Championship Tournament. In game 1, Ms. Norris went 3-3 with 3 doubles and in game 2 she was 2-3 with a home run and a double. Her home run was the third of the post season and fourth overall. Way to go Tay!

Congratulations to American Freedom Gold Trout pitchers JESSIE VAN ES (2012) and COURTNEY LOWE (2012) who both helped lead their Arkansas High School teams to back to back appearence in the State Tournament. Jesse and her team ended their season being in the top 8 of the 4A class while Courtney and her team ended in the top 4 for 2A. Way to go ladies!!

American Freedom Gold Trout player Taylor Norris (2012 2B) went 3-3 on Saturday to help lead her Celina HS team to a two game sweep over Anna in the Regional Quarterfinals. In her four post season games Ms. Norris is now a combined 11-14 with a double, a triple, and two home runs. Way to go Taylor!

American Freedom Gold Trout player KASSIDY HOLMES (2012 P/1B) who is signed with NCAA Division II Northeastern Oklahoma State, went 2-3 with a double to help lead her Celina HS team to a 2 game sweep of Anna in the Regional Quarterfinals. Way to go Kassiday!

Congratulations to American Freedom Gold Trout pitcher COURTNEY LOWE (2012) who pitched and hit her Junction City, Ar high school teams to victories on both Friday and Saturday at the State Tournament. Ms. Lowe pitched a combined 14 innings, K'd 21, while allowing only 6 hits. She also went 5-7 at the plate with a triple and 4 RBI. Her team now plays tomorrow evening in the State Semi-Finals of class 2A

American Freedom Gold Trout player DELANEY BREY (2011 OF) who is signed with NCAA Division II Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL helped lead the way for her Mesquite Horn HS team's 5-1 Regional Quarterfinal win over Belton tonight. Ms. Brey was 2-3 with 2 runs scored and reached on a hit by pitch. Way to go D!

American Freedom Gold Trout player TAYLOR NORRIS (2012) continues to blister the softball during post season play. Ms. Norris helped lead her Celina HS team to a 14-0 game 1 win over Anna in the Regional Quarterfinals tonight by going 3-4 with a triple, 2 runs scored and 3 RBI. She is now 8-11 with a double, a triple, 2 home runs, and 6 RBI in 3 post season games. Way to go Tay!

American Freedom Gold Trout player TAYLOR NORRIS (2012 2B) again helped carry her team to a playoff victory and and Area Championship with a 11-6 win today. Ms. Norris was 3-3 with a double and a home run on the day. In the two game series she was 5-7 with a double and 2 home runs. Way to go Taylor!

American Freedom Gold Trout player TAYLOR NORRIS (2012, 2B) helped lead her Celina HS team to a 6-5 extra inning win last night in round two of the HS playoffs by going 2-4 with a long home run. The HR was her 2nd of the year as she becomes the 9th AF Trout player to have multiple HR's this season. Way to go Taylor!

Ms. Lowe threw a 1 hitter while striking out 12 batters. She also lead the way at the plate by going 4-4 with 2 doubles. The victory gave her team the #1 seed in the Regionals. Way to go Courtney!

On Tuesday, Ms. Lowe went 2-4 blasting a 3 run HR while throwing a 3 hitter and striking out 11 on the mound. American Freedom Gold Trout player COURTNEY LOWE (2012, P/3B) single handedly lead her Junction City, AR HS team to a big 2-1 upset win over the 1st place team in their district. Ms. Lowe pitched 7 innings allowing just 4 hits and 2 BB's and K'd 12. She provided all of the offense her team needed by going 2-3 with a 2 run HR which proved to be the difference in the game. The blast was her 3rd HR of the season.

American Freedom Gold Trout player ADDIE OUN (2012 MI/OF) had a big weekend for her John B. Connally HS team as they improved to 14-4 on the season. In a pair of games on Saturday Ms. Oun went 2-6 and hit her first ever over the fence home run. Addie has been close on three other occasions this year each time hitting... the top of the fence but on Saturday against a stiff wind blowing against her she drove the ball out of the yard. Way to go Addie!

American Freedom Gold Trout player COURTNEY LOWE (2012 P/3B) and her Junction City, Arkansas high school team opened up their 2011 season with a 10-0 beating of Taylor, Ark. HS this afternoon. Ms. Lowe threw a complete game 1 hitter striking out 9 batters and walking 0 in 5 innings. Ms. Lowe and JC look to make a third straight trip to the Arkansas State Finals this year! American Freedom Gold Trout players have been flexing their muscle here early in the high school season. AFT players have combined to hit 10 home runs during the first couple of weeks. Leading the way is JENNIFER VRAZEL (2013, 1B) who has 5 already, followed by MACKINSEY YOES (2012, C/2B) with 2, while EMILY LASKEY (...2013 C), KASSIDY HOLMES (2011 P), and LISA LICATA (2011, 2B) all have 1 each.

American Freedom Gold Trout player EMILY LASKY (2013 C/3B) helped lead her Lewisville HS team to a 2nd place finish in the Denton Ryan Tournament this weekend. Ms. Lasky went a combined 7 for 17 with 3 doubles and 2 RBI's for the weekend. Great job Emily!

American Freedom Gold Trout player KASSIDY HOLMES (2011, 1B/P) hit a GRAND SLAM this morning during her class 3a #3 ranked Celina HS teams 11-6 win over Rowlett HS at the Allen Tournament. Ms. Holmes finished the game with a 2-4 day with 4 RBI's. Way to go Kass!

American Freedom Gold Trout player JENNIFER VRAZEL (2013, 1B/OF) continued her weekend power surge by belting her 4th home run in two days giving her 5 total home runs on the season for her Clifton HS team. Overall Ms. Vrazel was 3-4 on the day with 4 RBI's. In 4 games at the Academy Tournament this weekend Ms. Vrazel is a combined 8 for 11 and has a 2B, 4 - HR's, and 11 RBI's! Great work Jennifer!

American Freedom Gold Trout player ADDIE OUN (2012 2B/OF) continue her hot hitting yesterday at the Waco Midway tournament as her John B Connolly HS team won a pair of games over China Springs and St. Michaels HS. Ms. Oun went a combined 4-7 with 3 runs scored and 2 RBI. Great job Addie!

American Freedom Gold Trout player JENNIFER VRAZEL (2013 1B/OF) had a HUGE day for her Clifton HS team at the Academy Tournament. In three wins over Rosebud-Lott, Milano, and Killen HS's Ms. Vrazel went a combined 5-7 with a double and THREE HOME RUNS! She also accounted for 7 of her teams 17 RBI's on the day. Ms. Vrazel currently sports a tremendous .643 batting average on the young season! Way to go Jennifer!

American Freedom Gold Trout player KATY HILL (2013 OF/1B) went 2-4 with a double, 1 RBI, a walk, and a HBP last night while helping her South Grand Prairie HS team to a 12-3 win over Crandall. Ms. Hill and SGP remain perfect on the season with a 7-0 regular season record and 11-0 record when you include the preseason scrimmage games. Nice job Katy!

American Freedom Gold Trout player ASHLEY FUENTES (2012, P) helped lead her Sasche HS team to an exciting 1-0 win over Mesquite HS last night. Ms. Fuentes pitched 5 innings allowed 3 hits, struck out 5 and only walked 1. She also went 1-3 at the plate. Way to go Ashley!

Ms. Oun went 2-2, drew two walks, scored 4 runs, stole 2 bases, and had an RBI in their 14-3 pasting of Lake Travis last night. Addie & her teammates are off to a perfect 8-0 start this season and... are fresh off their 1st place finish at the Navarro Tournament this past weekend. Nice job Addie!

Ms. Butler and Hebron moved up to claim the #2 spot in the latest class 5A poll this week and have a big showdown with #1 Keller coming up this... Saturday at the Allen Tournament. American Freedom Gold Trout player MORGAN WHITBEY (2011, OF) did not get a lot of hits but she did play a big role in her North Crowley HS teams 2 wins yesterday at the Western Hills tournament. Ms. Whitbey drew a combined 5 BB's, scored 5 runs, and had 5 SB's on the day. When they did pitch to her she just missed a ...HR as she hit the top of the fence with a line shot which ended up as a triple. Way to go Morgan!

American Freedom Gold Trout player DELANEY BREY (2011, OF) had a HUGE night to start off her senior season at Mesquite Horn HS. Ms. Brey went 2-4 on the night and reached base 4 of 5 times on the evening but more importantly she drove in the game winning run in the top of the 10th inning to beat a highly touted Plano Senior High. Ms. Holmes walked in her 4th at bat as her #1 ranked Celina HS team dismantled Crandall HS 10-1. Way to go Kassidy!

KASSIDY HOLMES (2011, P/1B) and Celina move up one spot to the #1 ranking in class 3A while TAYLOR SULLINS (2011, OF) and West HS stay at #7 in 3A. American Freedom Gold Trout player EMILY LASKY (2013, C) started her high school season off with a BIG bang this evening in Lewisville High School's 12-2 beating of Red Oak in tonights scrimmage. Ms. Lasky batting in the clean up spot lead of the 2nd inning with a line drive home run over the dead center field fence. Ms. Lasky finished her evening a perfect 4-4 with a 2B, HR, and 3 RBI. She also threw out 3 would be base stealers in the game. Way to go Emily!
