Coach Trout
Back
Coach Alyson Trout enters her 1st year as head coach and
3rd year as an assistant coach with the American Freedom
Fastpitch Softball Club. Coach Trout has coached
fastpitch softball with her husband for the majority of
his career, including serving as the assistant softball
coach at Enfield, IL Middle School for two years and as
varsity assistant coach at Norris City Omaha Enfield High
School for three years. She played an intrigal part in helping
lead the Lady Cardinals to their first-ever state tournament
appearance in 2003. In addition to her softball coaching
duties at Norris City Omaha Enfield High School, she also
served as the junior varsity girls basketball coach for
two years prior to taking over as head varsity basketball
coach for the 2004-2005 season.
Coach Trout has also served as an assistant coach to the
Southern Illinois Firestixx, Southern Illinois Force 18u
"A", and the Texas Firestixx Softball Club. In
addition to her normal coaching duties, Coach Trout has
always handled all of the uniform and clothing orders, as
well as the team finances. She loves to work with outfielders
on defense and the lefty-slappers on offense.
Coach Trout was a stand-out basketball player during her
high school career. In her final high school season she
was the second leading scorer in the state of Indiana, averaging
28.6 points per game. While basketball was her true love,
she also earned a starting position on the varsity volleyball
and softball teams. She is a 2002 Magna Cum Laude graduate
of the University of Southern Indiana where she earned her
BS in Physical Education. She is currently employed at Legacy
Texas Bank where she is the Vice President of Compliance.
